CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES
PigCo, now owned by SunPork, is a Melbourne-based agribusiness enterprise with a large piggery (26,000 pigs) in the remote NSW border town of Thyra, which in 2019 faced unreliable grid power, expensive onsite diesel power, stringent EPA goals and neighbourhood odour issues. Martin Energy resolved these issues on-time, on-budget, while exceeding guaranteed gas output. PigCo had understood from other vendors that CHP would be uneconomic. The price guarantee from Martin Energy enabled a profitable deployment of onsite power as well as a large biodigester, with surplus energy to be exported from the site.
Cefn Group is a large agribusiness enterprise with a piggery at Strathene, southeast Queensland, which in 2014 faced waste issues and grid power costs. Martin resolved these issues on-time, on-budget, while, as usual, exceeding guaranteed gas output from the 25 megalitre covered anaerobic biogas lagoon. The management of Cefn offered the following endorsement of Martin Energy: 'The anaerobic digester has performed extremely well and has exceeded the gas production expections since commissioning. It is obviously an extremely well designed system. Given the success of the project, we have been working with Dave Eberly from Martin Energy Group to quote future projects as well.'
Del Fresco is a large greenhouse grower in Leaminton, Ontario, which faced high energy costs and unreliable power, plus a need to inject expensive CO2 into the greenhouse to aid plant growth. Martin resolved these issues to the great satisfaction of the client, as can be seen in this client video.
